Dansk Industri and Venture Insights publish national ecosystem report
Dansk Industri and Venture Insights have published a new national
Built from mandatory legal filings.
Not media coverage.
Venture Insights is data infrastructure for Danish private markets – built on a data foundation that makes it unlike anything that existed before.
Real-time. Population-level. Complete. Highly detailed.
Most private market data is built on voluntary disclosure. Danish law gives the ecosystem a unique advantage — every transaction, registered by obligation.
Most private market data is built on voluntary disclosure – what companies chose to announce. But Danish law gives the ecosystem a unique advantage.
Every financial statement, share issue, ownership change, and executive appointment is recorded in the registers, for every private company. Official, verified and timestamped.
Nothing imputed. Nothing guessed.
We build directly on this foundation.
The algorithm that turns relational, complex and fragmented data into systematic intelligence
Bifrost was developed through many years of academic research and specialized domain expertise. It traverses deep ownership chains, structures networks over time, classifies investor by economic function, parses text to extract exact deal mechanics, and reconstructs full cap tables from observed share issuances.
The algorithm build a complete mapping of Danish startups, scaleups, founders, investors, deals, and outcomes. Directly from microdata.
Every startup, every investor, every deal. Tracked from complete data, not a curated subset.
About the data
Venturelisten (EIFO, 2026) refers to the public list of venture transactions in Danish companies maintained by EIFO: liste over ventureinvesteringer i danske selskaber.
According to EIFO's own disclaimer, the list aims to provide an up-to-date overview of venture investments in Danish companies. It is based on general market monitoring via sources such as PitchBook, Dealroom, and Danish business media. As stated by EIFO, the list does not capture investments that are not publicly announced. It may also omit investments not identified through media monitoring, and excludes investments below DKK 1 million.
The list includes venture investments where a venture fund has invested alone or together with others in Danish companies. It therefore includes investments from Danish and foreign venture funds, but does not include investments by business angels or traditional holding companies.
Venture Insights is based on systematic processing of official business register data and therefore includes all recorded capital increases and ownership changes, including investments not publicly announced and investments by business angels and other non-venture investors.
The vast majority of private market activity never makes the news. But It does make the registry. Business angels, quiet seed rounds, follow-on investments. The result is 6-7 times higher deal coverage than conventional platforms.

Jacek Piosik
Founder & CEO
Jacek has always been fascinated by the entrepreneurial economy – where new ideas become companies, capital meets conviction, and a small number of founders and investors get to shape the future. High risk, asymmetric information, outsized outcomes.
When he started his PhD in entrepreneurial finance, he wanted to understand how it actually works. And he ran into a problem.
Private markets are, by definition, private. Most data is self-reported, incomplete, built on whatever founders felt like announcing. For a scholar trying to understand how capital is actually allocated, and what drives outcomes, the state of the field was embarrassing.
Then he found the Danish business registers – and discovered that Danish authorities had been quietly mandating a level of financial disclosure that exists nowhere else in the world
Seven years in a rabbit hole, and one PhD later, Venture Insights was born. With a simple conviction: that the most important questions in private markets should finally have answers.
